Imagining Bank Street as a complete street, safe and convenient for all users.

On March 26, 2013, Ecology Ottawa was joined by a diverse group of supporting organizations to launch our Complete Streets for Ottawa campaign.

Since the campaign launch, more than 2,500 people have signed the petition and many organizations, some representing tens of thousands of Ottawa citizens, have voiced support for our campaign goals.

On July 17th, 2013, City Council voted to redevelop Main Street into the City’s first Complete Street, marking a major milestone. With the momentum gained from the Main Street development, City Council passed the Transportation Master Plan on November 28th, 2013, which included a Complete Streets policy discussion.
