OPERI Presents: Beyond Measure Screening
OPERI Announces the Screening of Beyond Measure
Beyond Measure is being screened at the St. Paul University Amphitheatre on the evening of January 28th. Parents of young children are particularly urged to attend because they have time to help affect change in time for their children to benefit. School councils are also urged to send representatives who will report back to help ensure that parents are kept informed of promising options.
The film is an important new documentary presenting innovative ideas for shaping schools to better meet the individual needs of children. It is about student engagement and well-being, things that matter most to parents. It is not a criticism of the people running our schools today, but rather a look at systemic changes that provide the flexibility to naturally help each child develop his or her unique potential. The changes are viewed as benefitting teachers and parents as well as children. Two highly respected people consulted in the film are Sir Ken Robinson and Daniel Pink.
Tickets to the screening are available as follows:
2 free tickets are being offered to any school councils wanting to send representatives to the screening of Beyond Measure. There are only 180 tickets available so interested councils are urged to request tickets as soon as possible.
Free tickets are also available for interested parents on low incomes. Nobody is to be prevented from attending the screening for financial reasons.
The incentive program: To encourage parents to get others to attend the screening, 7 tickets for the price of five are being offered. If a group of five buys tickets, two free ones will be included for the group to invite a couple of guests.
