On April 11, tens of thousands will gather in Quebec City for “Act On Climate”, what many are saying will be the biggest march in Canada for climate action.
All of Canada’s premiers are heading to Quebec City at that time to talk about climate. And so are we. We want to make sure our voices are heard, and send a unified message.
We want strong climate protections. We want renewable energy. What we don’t want is more tar sands or pipeline expansion, including Energy East.
I want to sign on for Quebec City April 11. Before I do so – would you please tell me the cost of the bus ride? and any other costs I should anticipate?
Hi there – as you can see from the sign-up page itself, we are asking for a $35 donation to cover the cost of the return trip to Quebec City, which is over $100 less than a similar ticket from a major bus company, for instance. You will be responsible for your own food/water for the day, and can expect us to make a pit-stop on the way there and back.
I’ll be driving in from Munster to Carleton U for the 6:30 am departure. If anyone along the way (Munster / Stittsville / Kanata / Nepean) wants a pick up, e-mail me at fletchmo2@gmail.com .
