The Carp Hills in West Carleton-March ward is home to some of the oldest and largest trees in the City of Ottawa. Recently, local conservation group Friends of the Huntley Highlands held a contest to find the Carp Hills Biggest Tree. The contest aimed to encourage residents and landowners to take a closer look at the nature around them and appreciate one of the largest environmentally significant areas in the National Capital. Thirteen qualifiying entries were received and measured by Tree Ottawa Champion, Owen Clarkin. Click here to learn more about the winner and the runners up!
